Railway Design Engineer; Low Voltage

The Sweco Design Center Poland operates as an internal design center within the Sweco Group. It specializes in providing expert services in planning, engineering, architecture, and design across diverse sectors, including infrastructure, transportation, urban planning, construction, energy, manufacturing, and IT systems. The Design Center currently collaborates with three countries:
Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

• Perform design work (drawings, models) and perform review of own and others work;
• Produce results in the forms of system descriptions technical descriptions, plan descriptions, models, and drawings;
• Railway/Lightrail/Tramway planning and design, template design, cross sections, and drawing preparation;
• Working on railway design assignments with layout, installation, and other relevant drawings.

Projects with a variety of sizes, both larger and smaller. The main client is the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) as an end-user/client but sometimes it is also other public clients (such as municipalities) and contractors. We work on projects in all stages where there may be different requirements for documentation, drawings, and calculations. It can be a combination of text, 2D/3D models and drawings.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field;
• Experience in low-voltage or catenary design. If you have experience in catenary design but haven't had the opportunity to work with low-voltage systems and are interested in gaining expertise in that area, we would be happy to onboard you. We are open to all experience levels, ranging from 2 years to over 10 years of relevant experience;
• Software:
  Bentley Microstation / Open Rail Design / AutoCAD / Civil 3D;
• Experience with effect calculations;
• Very good communication skills in English (written and spoken);
• Nice to have: experience with technical leading, any kind of Swedish experience.
