SUMMARY

Talascend is seeking qualified candidates to apply for a Test Engineer position located in Madison, WI. We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to assist with test fixture design, assembly, testing related activities, and implementation of quality‑related procedures for our products. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing the product features, developing test parameters, testing for quality and repeatability, and authoring final test procedures, plans and results for the Sustaining Engineering team.

• Meet with the product design team to determine product testing parameters.
• Author test plans and create test cases for the product, as well as test fixtures.
• Troubleshoot and investigate issues for root cause.
• Streamline testing and check‑out procedures.
• Develop QA and test procedures.
• Ensure all tests and procedures meet company and industry standards.
• Set up and monitor test protocols for accuracy, as well as prepare test reports.

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5 years of relevant test experience.
• Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams.
• Ability to read and understand cable drawings.
• Experience working with power supplies, function generators, data acquisition systems and the like.

• Printed circuit board test experience.
• EMC test and electrical safety testing.
• Ability to generate cable drawings in AutoCAD Electrical, Solidworks, etc.
• Printed circuit board schematic capture (Altium preferred).
• Automated test data integrity evaluation.
• National Instruments Test Stand or Lab View.
• Automated test system design, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and remediation.
• Hands‑on build, process qualification and maintenance of test equipment.
• Programming in Python, C++.
