Job Responsibilities:- Apply independence and creativity to drive project design scope and deliverables.
- System and Circuit Design:
Digital, Analog, and Power. - Analog/RF experience is a plus.
- BLE and/or WiFi experience a plus.
- Schematic Capture and Layout Review/Guidance/Management.
- Pre&Post Signal and Power Integrity analysis (optional).
- FPGA and CPLD design (Verilog, VHDL).
- FPGA test benches and verification (Model Sim, Xilinx, Altera, etc.).
- Develop Functional Design Specifications.
- Develop test plans/methods to ensure product reliability and performance targets are met.
- Prototype bring-up and system integration.
- Working knowledge of EMC/CE/UL compliance requirements.
- Software and Firmware development.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Expert user of one or more of the following tools:
Siemens DxDesigner, Altium and Cadence Allego/OrCAD. - Application of formal project management and system engineering methodologies to development of complex, high performance electronics systems.
- Work history in aerospace/defense market a plus.
This is a remote/work from home position. As such, Optimum cannot control your workspace, but we will provide the necessary tools and equipment that promotes an efficient and healthy working environment. Some travel may be required.
