Electrical engineer capable of designing buildings utilizing various electrical systems, managing client relationships and leading technical development of schematic, design development, construction documents, specifications and construction administration for senior living, mixed-use and commercial projects.

We design schools, universities, healthcare facilities, elderly living and retirement communities, retail and entertainment complexes with a focus on sustainability.
Responsibilities- Design electrical systems for senior living, mixed use, retail and commercial projects; prepare calculations and technically sound construction documents that are cost effective and constructible.
- Manage project engineers, design engineers and CAD/BIM technicians, ensuring quality control of documents in a collaborative environment.
- Communicate and coordinate with architects, owners, other engineering disciplines, building officials, consultants, and contractors throughout design phases.
- Prepare opinions of probable cost, review construction budgets and change orders for projects.
- Meet client schedules and internal design and construction administration time budgets.
- Conduct office construction administration: review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and coordinate with contractors, design team, building officials and owners during construction.
- Identify additional scope during design and construction phases and prepare additional services quotes for Principal review.
- Travel nationally for pre‑design site visits, design meetings and construction observation, and prepare technical narrative reports.
- 8+ years of electrical design experience for senior living, mixed‑use and commercial buildings.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD and Revit.
- Engineering Intern certification required, Professional Engineering license preferred.
- Ability to attend and engage in client/owner contractors meetings positively and productively.
- Strong work ethic and efficiency in job duties.
- Willingness to work extra hours beyond 40 per week when necessary to meet deadlines and client demands.

Flexible starting time options: 8 hours Mon‑Friday; 8.5 hours Mon‑Thursday with 6‑hour Fridays; 9 hours Mon‑Thursday with 4‑hour Fridays.
