The ideal candidate will have a diverse technical background and extensive client-facing experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This individual will lead multidisciplinary teams
, support business development
, and manage a wide range of project types, from conveyance and collection systems to treatment facility design.

This is a pivotal role within VS Engineering as we launch this new service line, offering an exciting opportunity for long-term growth and leadership

• Lead the design and delivery of water/wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment facilities and conveyance systems
• Serve as a subject matter expert in permitting, treatability studies, process optimization, and system operations
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality for multiple projects
• Oversee and mentor engineering teams, coordinating with other disciplines as needed
• Conduct site visits and maintain strong client relationships
• Support business development through client outreach, proposal preparation, and cost estimating
• Promote safety and quality standards across all project phases
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (master’s degree a plus)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• 8-10+ years
  of progressive experience in water and wastewater treatment infrastructure projects
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects and teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions
• Expertise in current engineering technologies, codes, and practices relevant to water/wastewater systems
• Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and leadership potential
