The Electrical Project Manager is a full-time hybrid role based in Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Covington, New Orleans or Lake Charles LA, with flexibility for some work from home. This role oversees electrical project planning, coordination, and execution to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing budgets and timelines, coordinating with electrical engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders, and reviewing electrical designs and specifications.
The Electrical Project Manager monitors field progress, resolves technical and logistical issues, ensures compliance with industry standards and company procedures, and prepares project status reports. This role also supports bidding and proposal efforts, participates in client meetings, and drives continuous improvement in project delivery.
- Strong foundational knowledge of electricity and electrical principles relevant to industrial and energy projects.
- Experience in electrical design, including interpreting drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Background in the electrical field, with proven ability to coordinate field activities and manage subcontractors.
- Demonstrated budgeting and cost control skills, including estimating, tracking expenditures, and managing project financials.
- Experience managing projects in the commercial and/or Industrial space, is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency with project management tools and software, and strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and engage with clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations in electrical and industrial environments.
