Hybrid Role:
This role is hybrid, with an established schedule of in-person work required at an assigned work location. Any remote work is expected to be performed from an employee's primary residence, unless allowed (or prohibited) through the Company's remote work guidelines. Emergency Response:
Yes – Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE's emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.
Job Summary:
Provides support to the development team on multiple renewable energy projects in the community engagement and local permitting space. With guidance from leaders and senior staff, coordinates team activities including scheduling, supporting budget tracking, communications, change/order control procedures, community engagement efforts, and other work as needed—span of control: 0; individual contributor.
Key Accountabilities:
- Supports the development team on multiple renewable energy projects in the community engagement and local permitting space
- Supports a team of specialists who lead the development of renewable energy projects by providing project schedules, cost estimates, and engineering specifications for renewable energy projects.
- Provides daily support for development activities, including working with contractors and service providers.
- Supports the team on renewable energy development projects through installation, testing, commissioning into service, and project closeouts
- Participates in bid meetings and reviews, supplier selections, and evaluations.
- Drafts project communications to project stakeholders.
- Provides support for compliance requirements, including safety, environmental, and other regulatory requirements, and related documentation/recordkeeping requirements.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
This is a multi-track-based job; education and experience requirements can be satisfied through one of the following options:
- Bachelor's degree and the individual must obtain their degree within 9 months of submitting interest to be considered, and verification of the degree will be required before starting in the job.
- Associate degree and 2-4 years of project management experience (e.g., scheduling, estimating, project risk management, and construction management)
- High school diploma or GED and 4-6 years of project management experience (e.g., scheduling, estimating, project risk management, and construction management)
Other
Qualifications:
Preferred Bachelor's degree Experience in engineering, construction management, business administration, or environmental science. Renewable energy experience and community engagement activities through previous work and/or internships. Experience with Project Management and/or Project Development.
Other Requirements Experience in community or customer-facing roles, particularly in the area of community engagement and permitting PC Proficiency, including experience with MS Office products.
