Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing design team in Hamilton, NJ. In this design role, you will represent Syska Hennessy Group and work closely with the Internal Design team as well as external clients and consultants.
You should be able to progress from basic design work to more complex projects in collaboration with a technical team. Experience in Mission Critical, Science & Technology, Healthcare, and Project Management is a plus.
- Develop basic designs under direction of a Senior Engineer or Senior Designer.
- Create specifications, system narratives, and system layouts for projects of varying sizes.
- Participate in trade organizations and prepare presentations.
- Manage CAD/BIM and other technical staff assigned to particular projects or tasks as directed.
- Assist with employee reviews as requested.
- Estimate construction costs and evaluate feasibility using Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM).
- Write engineering proposals under the direction of a senior engineer or senior designer for projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
- 8+ years of experience working in a consulting firm.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- LEED AP highly preferred.
- Experience with Federal, Healthcare, Commercial, and Mission Critical projects.
- Proficiency with REVIT and the latest version of AutoCAD MEP.
- Proficient in design and calculation software.

Salary range for this position is $86,738 – $125,107 USD. Pay will be commensurate with experience, skillsets, and competencies.
