Description:
We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our Water Team. This role can sit in any of our Michigan offices. The candidate must be a licensed PE with a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering and ten to fifteen years of related experience. The candidate should have experience working with large-scale piping, valve, pumping systems, and treatment technologies.
The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment.
Provide technical planning, biological process and mechanical design and construction support on various water and wastewater treatment and resource recovery projects. projects that may include combined sewer overflow, collection system, pump station, stormwater, hydrologic and hydraulic models and/or other water and wastewater projectsPrepare engineering calculations, run process models (i.e. Excel spreadsheet, Biowin, GPS-X, etc.) and support analysis of alternatives. Utilize effective technical writing skills to prepare technical memoranda to document alternative analyses, basis of design, business case evaluations, P& etc.Prepare design reports and construction plans for treatment plants and pump stations using local and state standardsPrepare/assist with specifications and permit submittalsAssist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasksMonitor task budget and progressDocument design changes and communicationsConduct on-site inspections and technical guidance for start-up as neededPrepare project status and other reportsAssist in the preparation of proposalsAttend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.Possess strong written and verbal communication skillsMaintain excellent client relationsMaintain a safe working environmentParticipate in the Florida Water Environment Association, or similar organization as a committee member.Publish and present papers at state and national conferences. Serve as an active member in the Wade Trim Water and Wastewater Treatment PracticeBachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering10-15 years of related experience requiredLicensed Professional Engineer requiredExperience working with large-scale piping, valve, pumping systems, and treatment technologiesDemonstrated knowledge of water and wastewater treatment facilities is a mustExperience developing detailed design plans for treatment projectsExpertise in more than one area of conventional activated sludge wastewater treatment liquid and solid processes including fundamentals of nitrification and denitrification systems, chemical or biological phosphorous removal, secondary and tertiary treatment including high rate disinfection systems, solids handling and biosolids treatmentExperience in assisting with sales efforts for large scale projectsStrong written and verbal skillsAbout Wade Trim:
