The candidate will report directly to the Site Development & Integration Section within the Tactical Radars and Land Based Effectors AUR (TRaLBEAUR) Department. The TRaLBEAUR Department leads mechanical and hardware design, development, production of radar, sonar, torpedo, communication, and combat system equipment across locations in California, Arizona, Texas, and Massachusetts. The Site Development & Integration section performs large scale, complex site development and onsite support.
Engineers will perform research, design, support construction and development of military and commercial facilities.
The position is for the Marlborough, Massachusetts location.
What You Will Do- Develop, revise, and maintain AutoCAD drawings, models, and designs from verbal directions, hand drawn sketches, and existing hard copy drawings.
- Use preliminary sketches, diagrams, and other engineering information to generate conceptual layouts for notional facility systems using CAD tools such as Autocad, and Revit.
- Support site surveys for facility infrastructure solutions.
- Develop facility requirements and design development documents for defense system equipment in accordance with system requirements.
- Work with Architect/Engineering (A/E) contractors facility design effort.
- Review and approve shop drawings and construction specifications.
- Document and manage action items, field issues, and change requests including coordination with home office engineering, equipment suppliers, and onsite teams.
- Collaborate and coordinate work activities with Raytheon, Government, and subcontractors.
- Work with DOD codes and standards, including Unified Facility Codes (UFC's) for site installations.
- Travel is expected to be 20% both domestically and internationally. Travel could include multiple week duration trips.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Technology, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained by start date.
- Proficient in the use of drafting software including Revit and AutoCAD.
- Experience in building codes for commercial and industrial.
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects
Qualifications We Prefer- Experience working with and developing Facility Requirement Documents.
- Comfortable working in a high energy environment with multiple concurrent and quick-turn deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and desire to overcome challenges to achieve individual and team success.
- Strong written and oral communication.
- Strong attention to detail and orientation to produce high quality work products.
- Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard Microsoft software.
- Ability to work with and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.
