Position Overview: My client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with 2-20 years of experience in commercial HVAC design to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC system design and be proficient in using Revit software. This role involves working on a variety of projects, including office buildings, retail spaces, hospitals, and educational facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed HVAC system designs for commercial projects using Revit software.
- Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and ductwork design.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and reports.
- Conduct field surveys and inspections to verify existing conditions and ensure design feasibility.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate design concepts and progress to clients and team members.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- 5-12 years of experience in commercial HVAC design.
- Proficiency in Revit software and other relevant design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Carrier HAP).
- Strong understanding of HVAC principles, systems, and components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
