Role Responsibilities- Drive mechanical designs for a wide range of physical products, from concept to production.
- Develop inventive, practical solutions to complex mechanical and system-level challenges.
- Collaborate with industrial designers, electrical engineers, and clients to create elegant, integrated designs.
- Create robust CAD models, engineering drawings, and tolerance analyses using appropriate CAD software.
- Prototype rapidly and iteratively—hands‑on with 3D printing, machining, and other shop tools.
- Specify materials and manufacturing processes that align with product goals and constraints.
- Work closely with factories to support DFM, tooling, and production readiness.
- Ensure all designs exceed regulatory standards, including UL, CE, NSF and other applicable certifications.
- Extra credit for deep experience in plastic part design, DFM, and DFA in consumer product enclosures.
- You’re a hands‑on engineer who loves turning bold ideas into real, working products.

- You take pride in great engineering, whether it’s a clever mechanism, an efficient assembly, or a cost‑effective enclosure.

- 6+ years of experience designing mechanical solutions for hardware products, ideally across multiple industries (e.g. food equipment, consumer products).
- Full time on site, work from home only in extra ordinary circumstances.
- Strong experience with plastic part design, assemblies, and mechanical integration.
- Deep familiarity with the NPD product development lifecycle.
- Highly proficient in Solidworks, inventor or similar CAD software and comfortable producing production-ready drawings and documentation.
- Hands‑on prototyping and problem‑solving skills—comfortable building, testing, and iterating.
- Experience collaborating with overseas and domestic manufacturers.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills—able to explain your thinking clearly and receive feedback openly.
- BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
