About the Role

You’ll play a key role in delivering transportation infrastructure projects that improve mobility, safety, and quality of life. Working alongside experienced engineers, planners, and project managers, you’ll contribute to projects from planning and design through construction support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop transportation infrastructure projects, including highways, roadways, intersections, and multimodal facilities.
  • Prepare engineering plans, specifications, reports, and technical documentation.
  • Perform roadway geometric design, drainage coordination, traffic analysis, and utility coordination.
  • Support project delivery through all phases, from feasibility studies to final design and construction.
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable federal, state, and local standards, including Ohio DOT requirements where applicable.
  • Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance.
  • Participate in client meetings and present technical findings as needed.
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in transportation or roadway engineering.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Micro Station, Open Roads Designer, or similar engineering software.
  • Strong understanding of transportation design standards and engineering principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure.
  • Experience with Ohio DOT, municipal, or county transportation projects.
  • Familiarity with traffic engineering, drainage design, or transportation planning.
  • Experience managing projects or mentoring junior engineers.
