Department 05346, Radar Advanced Exploitation and Human-Systems Integration, is seeking an early career data exploitation and analysis engineer to join our creative, energetic team of scientists and engineers. As a successful candidate, you will advance state-of-the-art Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) sensor systems in computer vision, digital signal processing, and image formation research and development to address real-world challenges. You will have the opportunity to develop entirely new methods for digital signal processing, image formation, and imagery exploitation techniques using cutting-edge imaging sensor datasets.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

Develop and improve digital signal and image processing techniques that address real world national security situational awareness and decision-making challenges

Work alongside experienced R&D professionals to advance state-of-the-art in data analysis and exploitation

Work across RF disciplinary boundaries to develop novel SAR information products

Analyze and resolve anomalies in algorithmic performance and implementation

Candidates are expected to have education in the application of principles, theories, concepts, and practices related to RF signal processing and image formation and/or computer vision, including object detection and identification. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain collaborative, productive relationships in a diverse, interdisciplinary teaming environment.

Due to the nature of the work, this position requires an on-site presence at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM. Relocation provided for those who qualify.

Salary Range:

$102,400 - $199,700

* Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require:

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of directly relevant education and engineering or scientific experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform independent research and development

Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance and SCI level clearance which may require a polygraph
