Civil Engineer
As a Civil Engineer, you will utilize Civil 3D to design grading/earthwork, erosion control, stormwater pollution prevention plans, stormwater design, and pavement. You will prepare engineering analysis, designs, and calculations for various aspects of site development projects. Additionally, you will assist in project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and design review. Field inspections at project sites may be required occasionally.
Responsibilities- Utilize Civil 3D for designing grading, earthwork, and erosion control.
- Prepare stormwater pollution prevention plans and stormwater design.
- Design pavement and site development projects.
- Conduct engineering analysis, designs, and calculations.
- Assist in project management tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and design review.
- Visit project sites for field inspection as needed.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in site development, both residential and commercial.
- Experience in land development and stormwater analysis and design.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- PE license or ability to obtain one within a year.

The company offers a hybrid work model, initially requiring new hires to work three days per week in the office. Experienced staff may work remotely 2-3 days per week. The office is located in Warrenville, IL, with another office in Champaign, IL. The organization has a flat structure with shareholder/principals leading market sectors and mentoring junior staff. The land development team consists of 8-9 individuals, and the role involves close coordination with multiple teams and municipalities.
For the right individual, a fully remote position may be possible if they possess a PE license. The company supports professional growth with training and development opportunities, including tuition reimbursement.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warrenville, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $115000.00/hr.
