Senior Electrical Designer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Support the company’s strategic objectives, processes, and tools.
• Lead and support a variety of electrical design projects ranging from building lighting and power to rail yard power distribution and water treatment plant lighting, power, and controls.
• Perform electrical calculations (e.g., lighting calculations, voltage drop calculations).
• Actively lead and mentor electrical designers and CADD technicians on projects.
• Attend site observations, meetings, walkthroughs, and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with Wilson & Company’s Quality Control and Quality Assurance standards.
• Collaborate with other offices and practice areas within the Company.
• Monitor compliance with firm‑wide safety policies.

• Working knowledge of electrical design codes and software, including NFPA 70, NESC, IEEE books, and applicable National Fire Protection Association references.
• Proficiency in lighting calculation software such as AGi
  32 or equivalent.
• Skill with CADD software (Revit, AutoCAD, or Micro Station).
• Knowledge of power modeling software (e.g., SKM Powertools or equivalent) is a plus.

• Associate’s degree or greater in Computer‑Aided Drafting or Design (equivalent experience acceptable).
• Twelve or more years of experience in the design of electrical projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple team members and coordinate effectively with other engineers and technicians.

$80,000 – $105,000 (depending on experience)
