Position OverviewKiewit Infrastructure Engineers (KIE) has an immediate opening for a Design Engineering Manager to support our major infrastructure programs across the United States, Canada and US Virgin Islands.
The ideal candidate is a mid-level design leader that meets the "Qualifications" below and has strong technical and coordination experience who is ready to take on increasing responsibility within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary infrastructure environment. The selected individual will support design management efforts during criteria development, preliminary design, final design, and construction support phases.
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary engineering and design management team supporting alternative delivery infrastructure projects (e.g., design-build, progressive design-build, alliance, P3). KIE is a cutting-edge division of Kiewit that integrates engineering and construction expertise to improve schedule performance, control costs, and minimize risk. Through Kiewit’s fully integrated design and construction approach, our teams collaborate closely with estimators and builders to deliver innovative, constructible, and safety-focused solutions.

LocationThis position can be based in one of Kiewit’s offices in New York, NY;
Raleigh, NC; or Lone Tree, CO, with expectations to support projects both in-person and remotely, and travel to project sites as needed.
- Support management and coordination of multi-disciplinary design teams during project development and execution.
- Assist senior design leadership with staffing plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Monitor design progress and support adherence to scope, schedule, and quality objectives.
- Coordinate with construction teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and constructible.
- Identify project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
- Support preparation and management of subconsultant scopes, fee negotiations, and performance monitoring.
- Participate in client and stakeholder meetings as required.
