Manager, Electrical Engineering
The Manager, Electrical Engineering manages the electrical engineering discipline's delivery of operational results across a diverse scope of EV charging hardware projects. This role brings advanced understanding of the hardware design business line to guide varied technical and delivery challenges.
ResponsibilitiesDiscipline Management
- Manage the electrical engineering discipline's project delivery across a diverse portfolio of hardware design projects.
- Follow and enforce established engineering processes to ensure consistent design quality and delivery timelines.
- Present project status, risks, and recommendations to engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Technical & Cross-Functional Oversight
- Review design decisions and technical approaches on higher-complexity electrical hardware projects.
- Partner with peer engineering managers (mechanical, firmware, software) to coordinate cross-functional delivery.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to support team and organizational objectives.
People Management Responsibilities
- Manages delivery results and holds performance accountable across the electrical engineering discipline.
- Reviews performance and delivery results on an ongoing basis.
- Sets clear performance expectations and conducts regular feedback and development conversations.
- Identifies growth needs and supports development through coaching, training assignments, and career conversations.
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; 6 years with a Master's degree; or a Ph.D. with 3 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
