DescriptionAquatech is seeking highly motivated Site Technicians to support the deployment, startup, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of mobile and containerized water treatment systems. This position serves as a structured development path toward becoming a Field Service Engineer within Aquatech's Mobile Fleet and Build-Own-Operate (BOO) business. Candidates will gain practical experience with membrane systems, filtration equipment, chemical treatment processes, pumps, instrumentation, controls, and industrial utility systems while working alongside experienced commissioning engineers and operations personnel.
The Site Service Technicians will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered a non-exempt employee.
The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:

- Assist with mobilization, setup, interconnection, startup, commissioning, and demobilization of containerized and skid-mounted treatment systems.
- Support mechanical installation activities including piping connections, pumps, valves, chemical feed systems, instrumentation, and auxiliary equipment.
- Operate and monitor Reverse Osmosis (RO), Ultrafiltration (UF), Multimedia Filtration (MMF), cartridge filtration, clarification, softening, ion exchange, and chemical feed systems.
- Monitor system performance including flows, pressures, recoveries, chemical consumption, and water quality parameters.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and equipment servicing activities.
- Troubleshoot process, mechanical, electrical, and operational issues to improve system reliability and performance.
- Collect water and wastewater samples and perform field testing and process monitoring activities.
- Maintain operating logs, inspection reports, maintenance records, and safety documentation.
- Serve as an on-site representative of Aquatech while maintaining professional customer interactions.
- Participate in Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), toolbox talks, and site-specific safety programs.
- Mechanical aptitude with pumps, valves, piping systems, rotating equipment, and treatment processes.
- Familiarity with PLCs, instrumentation, sensors, SCADA systems, and remote monitoring platforms.
- Ability to read P&IDs, process flow diagrams, operating procedures, and equipment manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.
- Ability to work independently in remote environments and travel extensively.
- Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills.
- High School Diploma or GED required;
Associate Degree, Technical School Certification, or Military Technical Training preferred. - 3–5 years of field experience in industrial water, wastewater, utilities, process industries, or related industrial services.
- Hands-on experience with equipment installation, startup, commissioning, operations, or maintenance activities.
- Experience with RO, UF, filtration systems, clarifiers, pumps, and process equipment preferred.
- Working knowledge of basic water chemistry, treatment concepts, and safe chemical handling.
- Location & Travel:
Remote-based position with deployment to project sites throughout North America. Travel requirement up to 70%.
