What You Will Do
  • Perform feasibility studies, design, permitting, and project management for potable water and wastewater systems.
  • Prepare detailed design drawings, technical specifications, and bidding documents for piping, pumps, equipment, controls, and related infrastructure.
  • Assist with the planning, design, and improvement of potable water and wastewater treatment infrastructure.
  • Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis for water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
  • Prepare engineering reports, permit applications, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with multi-discipline project teams, office staff, field staff, contractors, regulatory agencies, and municipal/private clients.
  • Attend client, municipal, regulatory agency, and public meetings as needed.
  • Support construction-related project management activities, including review of submittals, responses to RFIs, construction observation coordination, and project closeout documentation.
  • Assist with regulatory compliance efforts related to Pennsylvania DEP standards and other applicable requirements.
  • Manage multiple projects and assignments while maintaining strong communication, organization, and client service.
What you Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in water systems, wastewater systems, municipal improvement projects, land development, or related civil engineering design.
  • EIT required; PE license preferred
  • Proven experience with potable water and wastewater infrastructure projects with a strong background in civil engineering principles.
  • Knowledge and understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and equipment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of PADEP and industry standards, permitting processes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Construction management or construction phase services experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling software is a plus.
  • Strong technical writing, report preparation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong client service attitude with a self-motivated, proactive approach to managing tasks and deadlines.
