We are seeking a Process Engineer to support device assembly and clinical builds for our next-generation neural implants in our Addison, Texas facility.

This is a hands‑on role building, assembling, and testing medical devices that are used in the clinic. Working under the direction of senior engineers, you will author and maintain process documentation (SOPs and work instructions) and contribute to yield enhancement and quality control efforts. It is an ideal role for someone who is detail‑oriented, enjoys building and troubleshooting hardware, and is excited to grow into a process engineering career in a regulated medical‑device environment.

This position will be based in our Addison, TX office. We are unable to consider remote workers or individuals who are not currently based in the US and legally authorized to work in the US.

Skills & Qualification
  • Build and assemble microfabricated devices into finished headstage assemblies, including PCB and cable integration.
  • Perform basic electrical testing (continuity, impedance, functional checks) to verify device integrity.
  • Author and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WI) for assembly and production processes; keep documentation accurate and current under change control.
  • Support production lot dispositions — gather and organize build and inspection data, help prepare records, and assist engineers in lot review and release activities.
  • Support excursion and nonconformance handling — help document deviations, participate in investigations, and assist with corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support yield enhancement and quality control efforts — collect and analyze process and yield data, apply basic statistical process control (SPC), and help identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with process characterization, metrology, inspection, and in‑process quality checks during builds.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow good documentation practices under the Quality Management System (QMS) for Class III medical implant manufacturing.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required:

  • Education + experience:
    • BS in Engineering or a related technical field + 0–2 years relevant experience (internships, co‑ops, research, and academic project work count)
    • MS in Engineering + 0–1 years relevant experience
  • Hands‑on aptitude — comfortable working with tools, equipment, instrumentation, or in a lab, cleanroom, or production environment.
  • Foundational understanding of engineering fundamentals and basic data analysis and statistics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail
