Remote Structural Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to independently create and develop engineering designs, from initial concepts through to final design packages. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing designs, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring project information is thorough and accurate.

• Create conceptual designs and prepare supporting technical documentation.
• Perform detailed engineering calculations to establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
• Review and verify engineering submittals and installation procedures to ensure compliance with design requirements, equipment specifications, and applicable safety standards.
• Utilize computer-aided engineering and design software for engineering analyses, designs, and project documentation.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers, designers, and drafters.
• Assist with the planning and execution of engineering projects, including system acceptance testing and validation activities.
• Specify major electrical equipment including generators, transformers, circuit breakers, and switch gear.
• Maintain quality control of engineering designs, specifications, and equipment selections.
• Take ownership of assigned projects by managing priorities, ensuring accuracy, and delivering high-quality results.

• 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Proficiency in transmission line design, structural steel, and foundation design.
• Experience in power distribution.
• PLS CAD experience.
• EIT Certification.

• Background in structural engineering.
• Experience with transmission power systems.

This position offers a remote work environment with a standard work week of 40 hours. The role includes benefits such as PTO and holidays.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
