Job title: Technical Application Engineer
As a Technical Application Engineer, you will serve as the technical link between our Account Managers, our Customer Care team, and our customers. As part of our team of three engineers, you will specialize in toothed belts and monolithic conveyor belts. You will evaluate existing applications and review drawings to support your technical recommendations. You will provide product training to your colleagues and our customers and manage communications for new products and launches.
You will also gather market insights for our R&D and product development departments, with whom you will work closely - alongside your fellow engineers in the Netherlands.
- Providing technical and commercial support, both internally and externally with customers (approx. 20% travel within the Benelux).
- Reviewing customer-related drawings.
- Gathering ideas from the market and translating them to the R&D department.
- Maximizing knowledge transfer through technical support, advice, and training.
- Developing communication strategies for new products and launches.
- Maintaining contact with the Global Product & Industry teams and external suppliers.
- Responsible for the product configurators in SAP.
We are looking for candidates with a bachelor’s degree in a technical-commercial field (preferably mechanical engineering) or equivalent experience. We also expect the following:
- You have an affinity for the commercial aspects of the role.
- You demonstrate initiative, work well with others but can also act independently.
- You are flexible and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
- You have a sense of humor.
- You have spatial awareness.
- You are willing to travel within the Benelux (approx. 20% of your working time).
- You have an affinity for AI and enjoy delving deeper into this field.
- You have strong written skills in creating reports, manuals, etc.
- You have a good command of Dutch, French, and English, both verbally and in writing, including in technical contexts.
- You preferably have experience in an engineering department in industry or with OEMs.
- A permanent contract from day one.
