Open Train is recruiting an Industrial Engineering AI Evaluator to assess AI-generated production plans, process designs, quality analyses, workflows, and related engineering scenarios. You will determine whether generated content is accurate, rigorous, efficient, and consistent with sound quality-control practices.
This is specialized model evaluation work for contributors who understand how production systems operate and can explain technical judgments clearly in written English.

You will use industrial engineering rigor to compare AI-generated responses and assess whether proposed plans and workflows are operationally credible. Your feedback will help identify strengths, weaknesses, and practical improvements in AI-generated engineering work.
- Evaluate production plans, process designs, quality analyses, and related industrial engineering artifacts
- Review production sequencing, process efficiency, and quality-control soundness
- Assess scenarios involving cost analysis, inventory control, logistics coordination, and production coordination
- Provide clear expert feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of AI-generated responses
- Recommend practical improvements to AI-generated engineering work
- Judge workflows using experience designing, developing, or evaluating integrated production systems
This opportunity is intended for professionals with substantial practical experience in industrial, process, quality, continuous improvement, operations engineering, or a closely related field. The listing identifies the experience level as entry level, while the role requirements call for at least four years of relevant experience.
- At least four years of experience as an Industrial Engineer, Process Engineer, Quality Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer, Operations Engineer, or in a closely related role
- Experience designing, developing, or evaluating integrated production systems
- Practical knowledge of quality control, inventory control, logistics coordination, cost analysis, or production coordination
- Judgment in assessing production sequencing, process efficiency, and quality-control soundness
- Strong written English communication skills
- Eligibility to work remotely from the USA
The engagement requires at least 20 hours per week for approximately 4 to 6 weeks. Compensation is task-based initially, followed by possible hourly payment after approval of the first task.
