The Engineering Specialist will support the planning, execution, and analysis of drone-based inspection projects, with a focus on engineering applications for infrastructure and construction. This full-time, hybrid role is based in Grass Valley, CA, with flexibility for some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with project teams to define technical requirements, assisting in the design and refinement of data capture processes, and applying engineering principles to interpret inspection results.
The role involves coordinating with operations staff to ensure equipment readiness, documenting procedures and findings, and contributing to continuous improvement of workflows and tools. The Engineering Specialist will also support project management activities, maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders, and help ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope.

- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret complex data, troubleshoot issues, and support data-driven decisions.
- Candidates should possess Project Management abilities to help plan, coordinate, and track engineering and inspection activities.
- Candidates should possess Manufacturing Engineering knowledge to support process optimization and integration of hardware and systems.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering expertise to understand structural behavior, equipment performance, and inspection requirements.
- Relevant experience in aerospace, infrastructure, construction, or related technical fields is beneficial.
- Familiarity with drone technology, sensors, and data workflows is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work safely in field environments and comply with applicable regulations and company policies.
- Comfort with hybrid work arrangements, including on-site work in Grass Valley, CA and remote collaboration.
