** ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Support the engineering and design of high-voltage substation Protection & Control systems for AIS and GIS substations
* Prepare and Review protection and control design drawings including single lines, three lines, DC schematics, communication schematics and wiring
* Prepare and review engineering deliverables
* Ensure work complies with applicable industry standards including IEEE, NERC, NEC, NESC, and client-specific requirements
* Support project planning and execution by contributing to schedules, deliverables, and technical coordination
* Develop relay settings and protection philosophy
* Provide detailed QA/QC for P&C design packages
* Provide training to junior P&C engineer and designers
* Attending FAT, inspections, and provide site support as needed
* Assist with utility coordination and interconnection processes for renewable energy projects including solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems
** MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
*** Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or related field required
* Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain
* 5+ years of experience in power system engineering, substation protection and controls, transmission planning, or renewable energy integration
* Experience with high-voltage substation P&C design including relays, batteries, chargers, SCADA interfaces, and control panels
* Familiarity with power system analysis software such as PSSE, ETAP, ASPEN, SKM, or similar tools
* Experience performing power system studies including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, and arc flash analysis
* Working knowledge of industry standards including IEEE, NERC, NEC, and NESC
* Experience supporting utility coordination and interconnection processes for energy projects preferred
* Experience with networking devices and communciation configuration
* Experience with ASPEN
* Experience with relay settings
* Ability to manage technical deliverables while supporting project schedules and deadlines
* Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration and technical documentation
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
