Great opportunity to join a fast growing company in the telecommunications industry. Our client is seeking an experienced Fiber Designer (OSP/Fiber) for an exciting long term contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.
This is a remote position but this person must live in or near the Orlando market.
Position Overview- The team is seeking an experienced Fiber Designer/Drafter to support fiber telecommunications projects using GIS and AutoCAD
. The ideal candidate has direct fiber design/drafting experience and can hit the ground running with minimal training. - This is a design and drafting role only. Site walks are not required.
- Create and update fiber network designs using GIS and AutoCAD
. - Produce accurate fiber drawings, maps, and design documentation.
- Review existing network information, maps, and engineering drawings.
- Incorporate redlines, design changes, and engineering feedback.
- Maintain accurate GIS/network records and project documentation.
- Coordinate with engineering and project teams to complete design deliverables.
- Previous fiber telecom design/drafting experience.
- Hands-on GIS experience.
- Hands-on AutoCAD experience.
- Understanding of fiber network layouts, routes, and infrastructure.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and network maps.
- Ability to ramp up quickly and work with limited foundational training.
Candidates should come from a fiber telecom design/drafting environment
, ideally with OSP fiber experience. The team is specifically looking for designers rather than candidates whose backgrounds are primarily in construction, permitting, field work, or site walks

Pay Range$35/HR (some flexibility depending on experience). The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
