Whether you're already supporting nuclear facilities or come from a heavy industrial, power generation, or piping stress analysis background, this role offers the chance to work on technically challenging projects from anywhere in the country.
What You'll Do- Perform piping design and stress analysis for nuclear and industrial facilities
- Develop and review engineering calculations and technical reports
- Conduct piping code qualification analyses to ASME B31.1 and ASME Section III requirements
- Analyze thermal, seismic, vibration, and dynamic loading conditions using tools such as AutoPIPE and ME101
- Develop specifications for piping, valves, supports, hangers, and related components
- Support plant modifications, upgrades, and design change projects
- Perform field walkdowns and verify as-built conditions when required
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver safe, compliant, and innovative solutions
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering
- 3+ years of engineering experience in power generation, industrial facilities, nuclear, or related industries
- Experience with piping design, stress analysis, and applicable ASME codes
- Proficiency with AutoPIPE, ME101, or similar analysis software
- Familiarity with ASME B31.1 and ASME Section III standards
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills
- Nuclear experience is highly preferred, but candidates with strong industrial or power generation backgrounds are encouraged to apply
- PE License (or ability to obtain one)
- Experience with ANSYS, GTStrudl, Plant 3D, or other advanced analysis tools
- Prior nuclear power plant or utility experience
- Experience supporting design changes, plant modifications, and system upgrades

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, IL.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $90.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
