Remote Florida P.E Land Development Lead

Wicks Consulting Group is a forward-thinking civil engineering firm on a mission to bring innovation and sustainability to land development across Florida. We’re growing — and we’re looking for an experienced Professional Engineer to help lead that growth.

This is a fully remote role with real flexibility, but we’re looking for someone based in Florida who can occasionally join us for site visits, in-person client meetings, and hands-on mentorship sessions with our junior team members. Proximity matters when it counts.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead civil engineering design for commercial and residential land development projects across Florida
• Prepare and seal engineering calculations, drainage reports, and construction-level drawings
• Utilize Bentley software packages and ICPR for stormwater, water, and sewer modeling
• Write and manage proposals, permit applications, and agency submittals with minimal oversight
• Mentor and lead a team of designers and engineering interns — both remotely and in person
• Conduct site visits and field assessments to gather project data and support design decisions
• Collaborate closely with architects, planners, contractors, and clients to deliver exceptional outcomes
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, templates, and quality standards across the team

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 6+ years of experience in Land Development Engineering
• PE license in Florida — or the ability to obtain one within 6 months
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Proficiency in WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD, and ICPR (or demonstrated ability to learn quickly)
• Strong project management instincts: you set priorities, meet deadlines, and own your work
• Excellent communication skills — you can explain complex engineering concepts clearly to any audience
• A collaborative, team-first mindset with the maturity to work independently in a remote environment
• Florida-based location to support occasional in-person site visits, team training, and client meetings

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• $100,000 – $165,000 base salary (commensurate with experience)
