Electrical Engineering Manager
The Electrical Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and supervising the electrical engineering team, overseeing design and analysis activities to support various field and fabrication projects. This role involves applying advanced engineering principles, managing project coordination, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The position requires a strategic leader committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor electrical engineering staff, including hiring, training, evaluating, and terminating personnel as needed.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and coordination of multiple major projects or programs within the organization.
- Perform design, analysis, and technical review activities to support engineering projects.
- Ensure operational procedures and project activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and performance measures.
- Lead project meetings, present technical information, and represent the organization in various external and internal forums.
- Stay current on industry developments, codes, and practices such as NFPA, IEEE, and API, and recommend improvements or updates to existing processes.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and contractors to meet project objectives and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain high standards of safety, ethics, and professional conduct aligned with company values.
- Interpret, organize, and execute engineering assignments while coordinating efforts across teams.
- Develop and implement departmental and individual goals and objectives to achieve project success and organizational growth.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years in supervisory or project management roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university; master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or commitment to obtain licensure is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of industry standards including NFPA, IEEE, and API codes and practices.
- Hands-on experience with construction methods, project management, and process execution.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; proficiency with modeling software such as ETAP, Easy Power, SKM, or PSS is preferred.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD processes is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work occasional overtime and travel as required.
Publishing Pay Range: $ – $ Annually
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
