Role Description

As a Senior Principal Engineer – Analog Integrated Circuit Design at ams OSRAM, you will lead the design and development of advanced analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits for cutting-edge light and sensor solutions. In this full-time hybrid role based in Plano, TX, you will spend part of your time on-site collaborating with cross-functional teams and part working from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining circuit architectures, performing transistor-level design and simulations, guiding layout implementation, and ensuring designs meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability targets.

You will review and validate designs through lab measurements, verification, and characterization, and provide technical direction to junior engineers. The role also involves collaborating with product, test, and manufacturing teams, contributing to design methodologies, and participating in technical reviews and documentation.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, with applied knowledge of Electricity and analog circuit theory.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Electrical Design of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
  • Experience with Power Systems and Power Distribution in ICs, including power management and optimization.
  • Advanced proficiency with industry-standard EDA tools for schematic capture, simulation, and layout review.
  • Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven track record in leading complex IC projects, mentoring engineering teams, and driving technical decisions.
  • Experience in sensor, photonics, or related semiconductor products is highly beneficial.
  • Clear, effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary, global teams.
