We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Project Developer to join our Prologis Engineering Alliance to plan for and manage front-end development work streams of mobility infrastructure projects. This role is critical in driving our organization's transition to sustainable transportation solutions, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This is a hybrid position, with remote work, combined with presence at client offices.
The successful incumbent should be located in California, with the ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage engineering resources to complete initial concept design packages and mature those packages through detailed design. Must be able to review drawings, plansets and construction documents critically, identify gaps and hold engineers/drafters accountable to site design standards.Manage submittals to multiple Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), responses to AHJ comments and management of time approvals.Manage engineering resources to complete utility service applications, interconnection applications and manage deliverables with the utility to complete the intake, study, design and execution phases of the utility upgrades when required.Own key project management, consultancy, engineering, and supplier relationships, and manage their scope development and deliverables against cost and schedule metrics.Coordinate with cross functional team members to support grant proposal generation in pursuit of grant and incentive funding for projects.Understand Prologis project cost structures and estimating techniques to analyze project costs critically, identify inconsistencies and scope requiring value engineering.Understand and influence program standards for reporting, site design and general process adherence.Drive data quality and standardization of portfolio dashboard metrics from the top down.Be highly adaptable to managing change and give clear direction during times of transition.Work with Contracting & Procurement to secure strategic sources in key categories that minimize global supply chain risk.Develop and implement processes to track project development cadence against other key parallel work streams like customer contracting and grant awards.Implement Global Design Standards and instill cost leadership within engineering teams to ensure competitive outcomes.Oversee the technical implementation of Prologis Mobility energy strategies at the project level that balance schedule, cost, and carbon emissions risk.Collaborate in a broadening global Projects & Technology community to stay abreast of the technology catalog, share lessons learned, optimize resources, and develop skills & best practices within the community.NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
7+ years of projects development experience in the distributed energy resource and mobility industry collectively (EV Charging, Energy Storage, Hydrogen Systems, Combined Heat & Power).Customer centric and innovative developer mindset focused on creative solutions to build projects.Comfort in making decisions and leading stakeholders in a highly ambiguous and ever-changing environment.Self-motivated with ability to multi-task, prioritize and resolve complex issues with minimal direction.Experience with and deep understanding of local approval processes including entitlement, CEQA, permitting and securing Certificates of Occupancy.Deep understanding of Energy and Carbon Systems.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Leadership ability in a high-performance culture with the ability to build consensus, establish trust, and communicate effectively.Experience with complex project budget management and cost coding. High degree of comfort in excel and budget reporting software.THE FOLLOWING WILL BE CONSIDERED AN ASSET:
