Structural Engineer
Required Skills & Experience Must Haves:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Design experience with Risa 3D or TNX Tower. 2+ years of structural engineering experience. Experience supporting telecommunications infrastructure projects, including tower modifications, rooftop antenna installations, equipment mounts, or related structures. Experience performing structural analysis of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures.
Job Description Day to Day:
Perform structural analysis and assessments for telecommunications infrastructure projects, including rooftop antenna installations, equipment mounts, water tanks, and wireless communication structures. Evaluate existing commercial and industrial buildings to determine structural capacity for new telecom equipment and modifications. Analyze rooftop loading conditions for antennas, steel frames, cooling units, vent hoods, and ancillary telecom equipment. Perform calculations and prepare structural reports related to telecom tower modifications, antenna upgrades, and equipment additions.
Review and design structural reinforcement solutions for existing towers, rooftops, and support structures. Work closely with CAD Designers to develop construction drawings and ensure all required structural details are accurately incorporated. Review engineering plans and construction documents for compliance with applicable codes, client requirements, and structural standards. Coordinate daily with lead engineers, project managers, and design teams throughout project execution.
Participate in site investigations and review field conditions to support structural recommendations and project designs. Support multiple telecommunications projects simultaneously, ensuring quality deliverables and adherence to project schedules.
