Port Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County, Texas. The project base scope will include two (2) identical LNG trains, two (2) LNG Storage Tanks, one (1) LNG Carrier Berth, and associated utilities/facilities. The Project is to be constructed on a parcel of land located along State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur, Texas, between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake.

The Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy GBU LNG projects.

As the #1 LNG EPC contractor by installed capacity, Bechtel has the capability to successfully deliver a broad range of LNG projects through our integrated EPC self-perform model, strategic partnerships, and proven experience in LNG project delivery. Partnering with Bechtel means lower cost, shorter delivery schedules, and greater certainty of outcomes for our customers.

The Project is looking for experienced Commissioning and Start-up Instrument & Control (I&C) Leads who will be responsible for I&C commissioning testing and supporting the startup part of the project. The CSU I&C Lead reports to the Project Start-up Manager. The CSU I&C Lead will initially be in the Houston, Texas home office to assist in planning, scheduling, and the preparing CSU I&C deliverables.

During field execution, the CSU I&C Lead will be based at the Port Aurthur, Texas PALNG site overseeing all Instrument and Control CSU activities according to project specifications and schedule plans. As such, the willingness to move close to the site is a prerequisite for the position.

The role requires excellent communication skills, as the CSU I&C Lead will collaborate with various Project team members in management, commissioning, engineering, construction, subcontractors, vendors, licensors, and procurement to achieve project objectives.

The CSU I&C Lead oversees CSU instrument test technicians in the verification of instrumentation and control installation and testing components/systems within the project scope. The CSU I&C Lead will assure the highest level of safety, productivity, work quality, reliability and completion for all instrumentation & controls commissioning testing.

Play an active role in the development of the safety culture on the project, making safety a natural part of all work performed, by assuring compliance with the PTW, JHA, LOTO and STARRT procedures and practices.

Home Office Responsibilities Include (this list is not all inclusive):

• Defining the Instrumentation Testing Execution Plan and sequence required to progressively complete the Instrumentation testing scope.
• Submit, to the Project Start-up Manager, daily and weekly progress reports related to work progress in assigned area, number of personnel in office, and Safety incidents.
