Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage drilling fluid programs tailored to specific well objectives and geological formations.
Monitor drilling fluid performance remotely, analyzing data to ensure optimal rheology, density, and chemical properties.
Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for drilling fluid-related issues encountered by rig crews globally.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices for drilling fluid management and disposal.
Conduct laboratory testing and analysis to validate fluid properties and develop new fluid formulations when necessary.
Collaborate with drilling engineers and operational teams to integrate drilling fluid planning with overall well design and execution.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemistry, or a closely related scientific field.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience as a Drilling Fluids Engineer, with a strong track record in diverse drilling environments.
In-depth knowledge of drilling fluid chemistry, rheology, and additive functionalities.
Familiarity with solids control equipment, mud mixing systems, and related technologies.
Strong understanding of drilling hydraulics, wellbore stability, and formation damage mechanisms.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively in a remote setting.
