Communications Systems Designer; RCDD; Federal

Responsibilities

• Provide technical design of systems for building projects, including telecommunications, electronic security, audio-visual systems, and related technologies.
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, reports, and review technical documents.
• Complete project assignments with minimal supervision and give directions to support staff to complete a project.

• US Citizenship
• BICSI RCDD certification
• Minimum 5 years’ experience actively involved in communications systems for buildings.
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Familiarity and demonstrated knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.
• Familiarity with CSI Divisions 27 & 28.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and time‑management skills.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Self‑motivation to coordinate with other disciplines and customers.
• Proficiency in communicating technical information to engineering and related staff.

• Experience with Revit software.
• Experience with AutoCAD.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $, commensurate with work location and individual factors such as skills, experience, and education.
