Responsibilities
Kforce has a client seeking a Process Controls Systems Integrator/Programmer in Phoenix, AZ.
Summary:
This person will develop, deploy, and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems. This role supports projects from control system design through factory acceptance testing (FAT), startup, commissioning, and ongoing technical support. Candidates with 5-10 years of controls integration and programming experience are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, configure, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
- Review control system drawings, specifications, control narratives, and documentation
- Configure industrial networks, telemetry systems, and communications infrastructure
- Implement cybersecurity measures for industrial control systems
- Participate in FAT, startup, commissioning, and field testing activities
- Create and maintain operations, maintenance, and project documentation
- Provide operator training and technical support
- Assist with equipment selection, procurement, and project execution
- Support QA/QC processes, code reviews, version control, and as-built documentation
- Develop and maintain programming standards, templates, and reusable libraries
- Manage programming-related deliverables for assigned projects
- Combination of office, home office, industrial facilities, and construction sites
- Regular field work requiring PPE and compliance with safety requirements
- Primarily local travel with occasional short-duration out-of-state travel
- Must reside in or relocate to the Phoenix Valley
- Position is hybrid but not fully remote
- 5-10 years of experience in industrial controls programming, systems integration, automation, applications engineering, or control panel design
- Experience supporting projects through programming, FAT, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Hands-on PLC, HMI, and/or SCADA programming experience
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems and troubleshooting
- Allen-Bradley/Rockwell (Control Logix, Compact Logix, Micro Logix, Studio 5000, RSLogix)
- Siemens (S7-1200, S7-1500, TIA Portal)
- Schneider/Modicon (Unity Pro, Eco Struxure Control Expert)
- Omron, GE, or similar PLC/PAC platforms
- Factory Talk View SE/ME & Historian
- Ignition (Perspective & Vision)
- AVEVA/Wonderware
- VTScada
- GE iFIX/Cimplicity
- Survalent
- ClearSCADA
- Ethernet/IP
- Modbus TCP/RTU
- Managed switches and VLANs
- Fiber, radio, and cellular communications
- Remote telemetry systems
- Ability to read P&IDs, I/O Lists, control schematics, and single-line diagrams
- Industrial cybersecurity fundamentals including access controls, segmentation, patching, and backups
- Documentation, QA/QC, and version control experience
- Experience in water/wastewater, municipal, mining, utility, manufacturing, industrial automation, data center, or medical device environments
- SCADA master station, historian, and reporting system experience
- Rockwell, Ignition, Siemens, AVEVA, or similar certifications
- Familiarity with NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISA-18.2, UL 508A, virtualization, and SCADA server architecture
- Technical, military electronics, automation, robotics, mechanical, or electrical background preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
