What Your Job Will Be Like:The Electronic Systems Ops Department is seeking a highly motivated Electronics Technologist to join our dynamic team, which focuses on specialty sensors, embedded electronics, and RF technologies for a wide variety of national security missions including both Nuclear Deterrence (ND) and Strategic Partnership Projects (SPP). The selected candidate will have demonstrated the ability to work in a dynamic teaming environment, sharing resources as well as programmatic responsibilities across the group.

- Assemble and test RF electrical assemblies
- Troubleshoot custom electronics circuits
- Conduct field testing of electronics including test planning, coordination, and execution
- Coordinate with production partners on test specs, processes, and non-conforming product
- Procure, evaluate, and organize parts
- Fabricate cables and circuit boards
- Document build processes and test results
- Maintain laboratory space and equipment.
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.
Salary Range:$74,700 - $144,400
* Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require:- Associate's degree in technical discipline plus 4 years of experience; or 8 years of relevant experience
- Experience with general electronic test equipment including power supplies, multi-meters, and oscilloscopes
- Experience assembling, testing, and troubleshooting electronic circuitry
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance.
- Ideally, we would like to see your background include some of the following:
- Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field
- Experience with, or education in, general test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, DVM, logic analyzers) and RF test equipment (network analyzer, spectrum analyzer)
- Experience with automated instrument control using LabVIEW
- Familiarity or experience with MATLAB, Linux, Solid Works, and Python
- Field test experience and support
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and document testing, including field tests
- Experience with PWB assembly, soldering, and inspection
- IPC-610 Solder and Inspection Certification
- Experience with potting materials and vacuum chamber processes
- Understanding of wireless communication electronics and related systems
- Experience performing antenna measurements
- Experience laying out and assembling electronic chassis/enclosures
- Effective communication and documentation skills
- Be motivated by working with a highly successful, dynamic project team delivering systems that impact our National Security
- Currently active DOE Q-level security clearance (or DoD-TS equivalent)
