We are hiring an HVAC Design Engineer / Mechanical Specialist to join the engineering team of one of our U.S.
-based construction clients in New York.
In this role, you will work directly with the client’s team to develop detailed HVAC shop drawings, perform system layouts, and coordinate mechanical designs (ductwork, piping, load considerations) under ASHRAE & US Standards. This is an ideal position for Mechanical Engineers (Ingenieros Civiles Mecánicos / Ejecución) or HVAC Designers in Chile with hands-on experience in HVAC system design, Revit MEP, and MEP coordination.

- Professional Growth:
Direct exposure to U.S. building codes, ASHRAE standards, and advanced BIM/MEP workflows.
- Develop detailed 3D models and construction-ready HVAC shop drawings using Revit MEP and AutoCAD MEP.
- Design and coordinate mechanical HVAC systems, including ductwork sizing, equipment layouts, and piping distribution for commercial and residential U.S. projects.
- Apply ASHRAE standards and applicable U.S. mechanical codes to deliver compliant, constructible designs.
- Perform clash resolution and spatial coordination with architectural, structural, plumbing, and electrical disciplines using Navisworks / Bluebeam.
- Review mechanical plans and specifications to proactively identify constructability issues and propose practical design solutions.
- Maintain organized drawing revisions, technical documentation, and quality control reviews.
- English Level: Advanced Technical & Conversational English (B2+ / C1).
- Experience:
3+ years of experience in HVAC design, mechanical engineering, or MEP coordination. - Standards & Codes:
Solid understanding of HVAC design principles and ASHRAE standards. - Core Software:
Proficiency in AutoCAD; strong experience with Revit MEP is highly preferred. - Location:
Must be residing and eligible to work remotely in Chile.
