Circuit Design Expert

Schedule: ~15 hours/week, flexible
We're seeking a Circuit Design Expert to support an AI training project involving electronic hardware, circuit design, simulation, verification, EDA workflows, and Python. You'll design, analyze, validate, and review real-world circuit solutions.
No prior AI experience is required.
- Design and analyze analog, digital, power, mixed-signal, or RF circuits.
- Translate requirements into schematics, netlists, HDL, models, and simulation inputs.
- Run simulation, synthesis, and verification workflows using CLI/programmatic tools.
- Use Python to automate simulations, parameter sweeps, and result analysis.
- Evaluate voltage, current, power, gain, bandwidth, noise, timing, stability, and related outputs.
- Diagnose component, parasitic, layout, signal/power integrity, thermal, and manufacturing issues.
- Compare simulations with analytical calculations and hardware measurements.
- Review AI-generated circuit solutions and create reproducible reference solutions.

Experience with
ngspice, Xyce, Yosys, Verilator, Ki Cad , SPICE simulators, HDL tools, or equivalent programmatic EDA software. Python tools such as PySpice, Num Py, Sci Py, pandas, Matplotlib, cocotb
, or similar are beneficial.
- MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field,
or BS in Electrical Engineering with 1–2+ years of professional circuit-design experience. - Proven experience designing circuits that were fabricated, integrated, shipped, or taped out
. - Strong Python and programmatic EDA/tool experience.
- Experience with hardware bring-up, laboratory validation, design verification, or post-fabrication debugging.
- Ability to explain circuit behavior, assumptions, and design trade-offs clearly.
