Pipeline Specialist

Baseline Integrity Engineering is a Minnesota professional engineering corporation based in Duluth, Minnesota, working in pipeline integrity and safety. The firm is remote-first: our people work remotely, with site presence driven by project and client needs.

A key corporate strategic direction is the development and implementation of an in-house developed Enterprise SaaS platform, KONDWIT, serving midstream oil and gas operators and other contractors bound by 49 CFR Subchapter D (Parts 190-199) regulating Pipeline Safety.

We are hiring up to two mid-level or Senior Pipeline Specialists to support pipeline compliance and pipeline integrity work for midstream oil and gas clients. This role turns regulatory requirements, inspection results, and field data into defensible decisions.

Support integrity management and regulatory compliance programs under 49 CFR Part 192 and Part 195.

Analyze regulatory requirements, inspection results, operational information, and integrity records; exercise professional judgment; and document clear, supportable recommendations.

Work across the integrity toolkit as projects require: in-line inspection, pipeline risk assessment, cathodic protection programs, and pipeline operations support.

Prepare for and support regulatory audits.

Build and maintain pipeline construction and integrity records.

Prepare clear technical work products and communicate findings, priorities, and follow-up needs to clients and project teams.

Manage assigned work and deadlines effectively in a remote environment.

A B.S. in engineering or another scientific field (a Professional Engineer license is not required).

At least four years of relevant pipeline, engineering, regulatory, integrity, or operations experience.

Experience with 49 CFR Part 192 and/or Part 195.

Midstream oil and gas experience.

Demonstrated experience in one or more of: in-line inspection, regulatory audit preparation, pipeline risk assessment, pipeline operations, integrity management programs, cathodic protection programs, or pipeline construction records.

Strong written communication, analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Consulting experience and the client-facing skills that go with it.

Other experience relevant to pipeline integrity and safety.

Up to two positions may be filled through this recruitment.

Remote within the United States of America (USA). The employee's approved home work location will be the work location of record. Remote work does not eliminate project or client-site travel.

Travel up to 20%, depending on project needs.

Salary will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, and the scope of the position offered.
