Job Description Freelance Mechanical Design Engineer Mechanical Design Engineer – Freelance / Project Basis Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer for freelance, project-based assignments
. The selected candidate will be responsible for independently handling mechanical design projects remotely and delivering complete, accurate, and fabrication-ready designs within the agreed project timeline.

• Develop and finalize mechanical designs as per project requirements.
• Prepare Sheet Metal designs, 2D drawings, 3D models
  , and related engineering documentation.
• Design mechanical components, assemblies, and enclosures using sheet metal thicknesses ranging from 0.5 mm to 2 mm
  .
• Understand project requirements and provide practical and cost-effective design solutions
  .
• Make design modifications based on technical feedback and approvals.
• Ensure designs meet required specifications, dimensions, tolerances, fabrication requirements, and quality standards
  .
• Prepare final design/drawing files required for manufacturing and fabrication.
• Independently manage assigned projects and meet agreed deadlines.
• Coordinate remotely with the concerned technical team throughout the project.
• Complete and submit the project for final approval within the agreed timeline.

• Relevant experience in Mechanical Design
  , particularly Sheet Metal Design
  .
• Hands-on experience in designing Sheet Metal components, assemblies, and enclosures
  .
• Experience working with sheet metal thicknesses of 0.5 mm to 2 mm
  .
• Good understanding of mechanical drawings, dimensions, tolerances, fabrication processes, and engineering standards
  .
• Proficiency in relevant mechanical design/CAD software
  .
• Ability to understand requirements and independently execute projects from concept/design modification to final approval.
• Experience in Lithium-Ion Battery, Inverter, UPS, Energy Storage System (ESS/BESS) or related projects will be an added advantage
  .
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate designs within defined timelines
  .

• 10,000 – 50,000 per project
  , depending on the size, complexity, scope, deliverables, and timeline of the project.
• The final remuneration will be mutually agreed upon before commencement of each project.
• Payment will be divided into 5 stages/milestones based on project progress and approvals.
• Each payment milestone will be linked to the mutually agreed project deliverables
  .
• The final/last payment will be released after completion and final approval of the design
  .
• Payment will be made as per the mutually agreed project milestones and timelines
  .
