We are seeking a highly skilled Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer with over five years of experience. The ideal candidate will lead projects from initiation to completion, specifically focusing on the design of new buildings. This role involves collaborating with a production team while managing a portion of the work independently.

• Design new buildings from start to finish.
• Lead projects independently from kickoff through completion.
• Coordinate kickoff meetings and define overall building systems.
• Request, review, and manage required documentation.
• Work through all project phases:
  Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration, including site visits.
• Collaborate with a larger production team, owning a portion of the work.
• Balance design responsibilities with junior- to mid-level production work.

• 5+ years of plumbing and fire protection experience.
• Proficient in REVIT.
• Experience with new construction projects.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

• Experience in multifamily/mixed-use, affordable housing, and retail projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Mechanical and MEP engineering skills.

This position offers a hybrid schedule with two days in the office and three days working from home. Office hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM. The team size is 8 people within a larger office of over 40 members. The role provides extensive exposure to projects and clients within the five boroughs and the tri-state area, offering opportunities for mentorship and development in customer service.

This is a Permanent position based out of New York, NY.

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $140000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
