About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented Reservoir Engineer to join their remote team, focusing on asset management and performance optimization within the oil and gas sector. This role is critical for maximizing hydrocarbon recovery and ensuring the long-term economic viability of their reserves. You will analyze reservoir data, develop production strategies, and forecast future performance, all from a remote work environment.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced engineer who excels in data analysis and strategic planning and values the flexibility of a remote-first position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed reservoir characterization and performance analysis using historical production data and geological information.
  • Develop and implement optimized production strategies, including artificial lift and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods.
  • Create and maintain sophisticated reservoir simulation models to forecast production and evaluate development scenarios.
  • Perform economic evaluations of development projects and provide recommendations for asset investment.
  • Collaborate remotely with exploration, drilling, and production teams to ensure integrated asset management.
  • Prepare technical reports and present findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in reservoir engineering, with a strong track record in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG) and data analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of reservoir physics, fluid flow in porous media, and recovery mechanisms.
  • Experience in reserve estimation and forecasting is essential.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with demonstrated success in remote team environments.
