Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary dynamic team of engineers and scientists engaged in a wide range of projects providing planning, design and engineering services for a wide range of projects for commercial, industrial and government clients.  This remote position provides technical support related to PFAS and other environmental contamination, on characterization/remediation projects for federal, state, commercial and industrial clients.

The candidate will support the planning, execution, and management of complex projects and field programs. This position requires the ability to evaluate chemical distribution and transport through soils, groundwater, surface water, and sediment to reach sound technical conclusions and present/document findings. The candidate will plan and conduct (with supervision by project management) tasks such as pilot tests and treatability studies, engineering designs, construction oversight, operation, and maintenance (O&M), and report writing.

• Task management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, design and implementation, trouble shooting and optimization of remediation engineering projects, budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability.
• Work as a part of a team to prepare work packages and develop remedial solutions for various government, commercial, and industrial sites for conventional contaminants (fuels, VOCs, metals) as well as emerging contaminants (PFAS, 1,4-Dioxane). The work packages include but not limited to remedial designs, specifications, and drawings; work plans; technical memorandum; data evaluation reports; cost estimates, etc.
• Support project managers and subject matter experts in evaluation of emerging and innovative technologies via research, design and testing of emergent technologies, including PFAS.
• Support the development, planning, and implementation of sampling programs for multi-media environmental sampling, addressing impacts to soil, groundwater, sediment, and surface water.
