Whaddayaknow? Free Pub Trivia, established in 2008 in Chicago, has facilitated engaging trivia events nationwide. We offer virtual games every Tuesday-Thursday at 7pm CST on our website. Our trivia events spark fun and cover a wide range of categories for all ages. We believe exceptional content and excellent hosts are key to a great trivia night. Over the years, we have tailored our games for numerous private functions and special occasions.

This is a part-time hybrid role for a Trivia Host in the Western Chicago Suburbs. The Trivia Host will be responsible for hosting trivia events, engaging with participants, ensuring smooth gameplay, and providing an entertaining experience for all attendees. Some work from home is acceptable for preparation and virtual events, but the role primarily involves attending various locations in the Western Chicago Suburbs for live events.

Effective communication and vibrant personality are essential for success in this role.

• Host and entertain at weekly trivia events (think DJ + game show host energy)
• Build relationships with venue staff and regular players
• Help grow the Suburban market by scouting new partner bars (with full support from our Chicago HQ)
• Support social media and marketing initiatives locally (optional but a big plus)

• Outgoing personality, comfortable on the microphone
• Strong organizational skills and reliability (events must start on time)
• Sales, hospitality, or event experience is a big plus
• Self-starter who enjoys building something new with support behind them
• Must have vehicle
• Must be in travel distance of Schaumberg, Mount Prospect, Wheeling, Lake Zurich, Elmhurst, Elk Grove, or Palatine.
• Flexible hours - gigs typically run 2–2.5 hours in the evening
• Be part of a fun, supportive, and fast-growing team
• Pay is $60–$100 per gig (depending on attendance/experience) + a $25 bar tab.
