Description
Golf Course Attendants great customers and complete a variety of individual and group reservations in a friendly courteous and knowledgeable manner that contributes to the continued and increased utilization of the golf course and clubhouse services.
Typical shifts may include nights, weekends and holidays.
Essential Functions
- Welcomes and assists walk-in customers and callers with tee-times, purchases, lesson/group/league reservations, and any related transactions.
- Follow appropriate cash handling and inventory control procedures.
- Performs a variety of housekeeping including but not necessarily limited to trash collection and disposal or straightening and arranging products.
- Completes various opening and/or closing procedures to provide a welcoming atmosphere to serve customers.
- Maintain a professional atmosphere and communicate effectively with customers.
- Communicate with supervisor to resolve issues, report incidents, and identify needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous customer service and/or cashiering experience in a retail or golf course operation.
- Stand for extended periods.
- Communicate effectively in normal, loud, and stressful situations.
- Move and/or lift materials and/or equipment.
- Squat, bend, and reach.
- Developing and maintaining a thorough working knowledge of all department and applicable City policies and procedures in order to help facilitate compliance with such policies and procedures by all personnel.
- Demonstrating by personal example the service excellence and integrity expected from all staff.
- Developing respectful and cooperative relationships with co-workers, including willing assistance to newer staff so job responsibilities can be performed with confidence as quickly as possible.
- Conferring regularly with and keeping the immediate supervisor informed of all important matters pertaining to those functions and job responsibilities for which accountable.
- Representing the City in a professional manner to the general public and other outside contacts / constituencies in a manner that helps maintain and enhance New Brighton's reputation as a well-managed City.
