Recreation and Activities Supervisor (age 18+) is a seasonal, full‑time position reporting to the Assistant General Manager. The role leads daily directives of the recreation department, using recreation and activities to help guests create memories with their families. Focus: customer service and a fun environment for all ages.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Administrative Duties
    • Assist with research and identification of crafts, activities, and events
    • Assist with planning of themed weekly and daily activities
    • Assist with ordering and maintaining inventory of recreation supplies and equipment
    • Review guest feedback with Guest Experience Manager and work to improve the recreation program
    • Complete required reports on a timely basis
    • Schedule staff, monitor payroll, and maintain compliance with payroll budget
    • Conduct daily stand‑up meetings with recreation staff to prioritize the day and facilitate feedback
    • Participate in recruitment and selection of talent for the recreation and activities department
    • Participate in development and execution of training programs for new hires and ongoing staff training
  • Daily Duties
    • Supervise and motivate a team of recreation staff
    • Provide coaching around performance, entertainment/customer engagement skills
    • Assist with personnel‑related matters (recruitment, hiring, performance management, disciplinary action, training)
    • Maintain accurate event/activity schedule by updating calendar and Campers App
    • Bring characters to life by becoming a character as needed and engaging staff as ambassadors
    • Lead daily recreational activities and identify opportunities for new experiences
    • Evaluate guest flow and make recommendations to improve operating hours
    • Be visible around the resort and engage with guests
    • Ensure activities and events start on time
    • Create a fun environment for staff and guests
    • Capture photos of activities and events and upload to Google Drive on time
    • Maintain cleanliness of recreational facilities and equipment
    • Decorate park to theme of the week/weekend
    • Monitor cash drawers and ensure cash handling procedures are followed, and charge‑to‑site transactions paid in full
  • Other Essential Duties
    • Collaborate with park and home office departments
    • Coordinate and oversee various projects from start to finish
    • Respond to guest inquiries using company’s service recovery guidelines
    • Utilize and learn reservation system for daily planning
    • Participate in other projects and activities as assigned
Education / Training / Experience
  • Experience in organizing and executing activities or events required.
  • Customer service, hospitality, or leadership experience preferred.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong organizational, motivational, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Must work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management.
Essential Physical Demands
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to remain in stationary position.
  • Regularly move throughout the park.
  • Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl.
  • Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, lift, etc.
