Purple Onion Catering Company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Event Producer to join our team. As an Event Producer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of event planning, management, and execution, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. You will work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to coordinate logistics and deliver exceptional events. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a passion for creating unforgettable experiences.
Responsibilities- Plan and manage all aspects of events from contract signing through execution and completion.
- Provide excellent customer service and expertise to clients throughout the planning process.
- Coordinate with internal staff and vendors to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Supervise onsite execution of events, ensuring all details are executed according to plan.
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners and vendors.
- Manage event budgets and expenses to ensure profitability.
- Conduct post-event evaluations and implement improvements for future events.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance event offerings.
- Must execute at least $1,000,000 worth in events per year to maintain seat.
- Events are assigned in contract phase up to 3 months out.
- Event Producer to send calendar invite for turnover meeting. Once turnover meeting is held and introduction email has been sent to client, EP is to take over primary communication to client and ED is to be copied on all remaining emails.
- Event Producer to attend walkthrough and sent post walkthrough updates to client.
- Assist in training new event associates in current job tasks and on site event management.
- Run events (stay through at least dinner service).
- Maintain open communication with departments regarding catering logistics.
- Communicate changes to events made in 14 days or less to internal teams.
- Sit in on production meeting and go through logistics for upcoming events.
- Oversee getting Event Ready. This includes but is not not limited to pack Lists, kitchen counts, signage, event ready folders, pre event emails, any updates made after client deadlines (14 days out), final rentals, and uploading documents into TPP.
- Track and submit comp time, AMEX reports, and weekly numbers updates.
- Attend and come prepared for bi weekly event production meetings, monthly sales meetings, and scheduled check in's.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in event planning and production.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to build relationships.
- Proficiency in MS Office and event management software.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds while on site at events.
- Starting Salary Ranges from $60,000- $70,000 and includes a scaled commission structure.
