What You’ll Do as an AAA Associate Retail Travel Agent

• Craft unforgettable domestic and international travel experiences— cruises, land tours, flights, hotels, and more.
• Use your personal travel experiences to inspire and guide clients.
• Build long‑term relationships, turning first‑time clients into loyal travelers.
• Leverage AAA’s established travel strategy to maximize success and achieve your sales goals.
• Process bookings, payments, and travel documentation while ensuring compliance with ARC, DOT, and AAA policies.
• Educate clients on AAA benefits, including exclusive travel perks and the AAA‑branded credit card.
• Resolve client concerns under management guidance.
• Attend promotional events, training, and familiarization trips to stay ahead in the industry.

• Structured training, mentorship, ongoing learning, and required certification to advance to Retail Travel Agent and Senior Retail Travel Agent roles.
• Expert‑led training and coaching for career growth.

• No Sundays; consistent schedule with Sundays off.
• Convenient hours:
  Monday–Friday, 8 AM–6 PM, and Saturday, 9 AM–2 PM (37.5‑hour work week). Store location: 3710 Palomar Centre Dr, Lexington, KY 40513.
• Competitive pay: $15.54 to $24.22 hourly base salary, adjusted by experience, location, and other factors; monthly incentive pay average $550–$1,100 after 6 months; 3+ weeks PTO in first year; comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, retirement plans).

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree or travel school graduate preferred).
• At least 1 year of retail experience required; preferred 1 year of experience as a retail/leisure travel agent or comparable travel experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational ability.
• Proficiency with travel booking systems and web‑based applications.
• Working knowledge of geography.
• Certified Travel Associate (CTA) designation required within two years of hire; company covers cost and provides paid time.
• Ability to obtain necessary membership license or other required licenses.

• Successful pre‑employment and post‑employment screening results, including criminal, drug, and state/vendor specific screenings.

Work from home or remote positions available for residents within AAA Club Alliance’s footprint (Washington DC and 13 states:
Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Virginia, and West Virginia).
